Why nothing works

There is no official Instagram Wrapped to load, so there is nothing that can be “down” or “broken”. When a site or app says “Wrapped is temporarily unavailable”, it is usually one of these:

a third-party tool that scrapes a profile and hits Instagram's limits;
a page that collects your login to “generate” the card — a phishing pattern;
a generic article promising a link that never existed.

Rule of thumb.

Any “Instagram Wrapped” flow that asks for your Instagram password is unsafe. The only acceptable connection is Instagram's own authorisation screen, with a read-only scope, and the ability to revoke access from your account settings.

The safe way to get your recap

Use an iPhone app that connects through Instagram's official Creator or Business flow — no password, read-only.
Pick the year and the metric: likes for reach, saves for usefulness, comments for conversation.
Preview the nine tiles in the real 3:4 grid before exporting.
Export at 1080 × 1920 or 1080 × 1350, then post it yourself.

What if I have a personal account?

Instagram only exposes per-post counters for Creator and Business accounts. With a personal account you can still use the grid preview and design tools, but the automatic ranking of published posts is not available — that is an API limit, not a bug.

Quick checklist if a page fails

The URL starts with https:// and belongs to the app's real domain.
It does not ask for your password, only for an Instagram authorisation.
It shows a preview before asking for anything.
It lets you delete your data, and says where the photos go.
